Birth With Mika and Simona
We work together in partnership to bring warmth, knowledge, and compassion to every family we serve. Our collaborative approach ensures families feel supported, empowered, and deeply cared for at every step of their journey.
How it works
We attend some prenatal and postpartum appoints together and some individually. We like folks to get know us both as a team and as individuals. We will attend your birth together or solo if one of us is called to another birth or otherwise cannot attend. You can learn more about what we cover during our care here.
We accept medi-cal and Kaiser insurance. We've worked with other insurance plans and are open to working with you on that. Our non-insurance rate is $3,000-$3,500 sliding scale. Please email us at msbirthteam@gmail.com to learn more and schedule an initial meeting.

Simona
Hi! I'm Simona, a full spectrum birth worker (doula), student midwife, and reproductive justice scholar. I’ve supported families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum since 2021. My path in birth work is rooted in a deep reverence for birth as sacred and transformative.
A life-long learner, I bring my multicultural background and training in holistic care practices from Caribbean, Indigenous, and Black Southern traditions into my care, with a commitment to decolonizing and reclaiming birth as a space for collective healing. As your informational resource, I offer emotional, physical, and spiritual support and comfort.
My approach is culturally aware, gender affirming, and grounded in compassion. It’s my heart’s work to collaborate with you to care for your whole self, to witness and walk with you as you grow.
